Team Resources Portal + Quick-Launch Hub

Maintained Updated September 22, 2026 Google Sites + Apps Script

Built the staff portal that fronts every internal tool: a Google Sites intranet with an Apps Script Quick-Launch Hub, full-page app embeds and a shared light/dark theme standard.

13pages with the shared theme toggle
9documented Hub releases (Sep–Oct 2026)

Business impact

Gave the team one front door for every internal system. Rollouts now ship as a tile and an embed instead of a link in chat, and the consistent theme and navigation lower the training cost of each new tool.

Problem

Internal tools, guides, calendars and references were scattered across bookmarks, chat pins and shared drives, so new staff could not find what existed and rollouts had no single landing place.

Solution

One portal built on the platform the agency is permitted to use: a Google Sites intranet with Tools, Training and Resources navigation, an Apps Script Quick-Launch Hub of tiles, and full-page embeds of the agency's web apps (document intake and scan dashboard, underwriting triage board, past-due tracker, training platform, exam prep). A shared theme snippet gives every embedded app the same light/dark toggle.

Results & highlights

  • Quick-Launch Hub iterated from v1.2 (2026-09-22) to v1.12 (2026-10-19) across nine documented change logs: new tool tiles, calendars, roster v5, HR and call-recording tiles, agency-process pages
  • Five internal web apps embedded full-page behind one navigation, so every rollout lands in the same place
  • Theme standard (2026-10-19): a reusable snippet gives each page a light/dark toggle that follows the device by default and remembers a per-page override; applied to 13 pages and embeds
  • Reference content alongside the tools: personality-intelligence report viewer, quick-reference-guide gallery, team calendar and per-person Google Calendar embeds

Competencies demonstrated

  • Internal tools & intranet design: Google Sites portal with an Apps Script hub and five embedded web apps.
  • Front-end consistency: Shared light/dark theme snippet applied to 13 pages and embeds.
  • Change management: Nine documented releases with change logs and in-portal guides.
  • Working within constraints: Built entirely on the consumer Google platform the agency can use.
