Business impact

Keeps office workstations, the network edge and every remote employee's internet connection running through power interruptions, with a fire-code-reviewed installation standard.

Problem

Power interruptions took down office workstations and network equipment, and remote staff lost connectivity during outages.

Solution

Standardized battery backup: a CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS at each office desk, a UPS on the office modem/router, and a Daran 89.6 Wh LiFePO4 portable power station for each remote employee's modem and router.

Results & highlights

  • Deployed one CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD UPS per office desk for workstation continuity
  • Protected the office network edge with a dedicated modem/router UPS
  • Equipped every remote employee with a Daran 89.6 Wh LiFePO4 power station (100 W), sourced with spares at a volume discount (September 2026)
  • Extended the life of legacy units by sourcing exact replacement batteries
  • Ran a fire-code compliance review (NFPA 1, Florida Fire Prevention Code, UL guidance) and defined five compliant installation options
